Virtual travel

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I wanted to share my experience today with a company that is offering a travel experience with a trained guide. We were invited to it by a dear friend who we met on our last cruise in Europe. This trip went to Naples and was just wonderful. To be honest, I had no idea Naples was that fascinating. The guide is a PhD who took us all around through photos, videos, and music. We could stop and ask questions or comment. I am going to book a trip to Pompeii for my grandkids soon!  https://www.withlocals.com/  The cost is modest.

The concept inspired me to put together something similar for my grandparents' village in Poland. In just one day, I have eleven people who also have ancestors from that village signed up for a Zoom meeting next week. My meeting is free because I'm blessed to not be in need of an income.
