CrTrav74 Posted June 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Saw this on Norwegian Cruise Line thread. Restart dates for all NCL ships Don't know if this is true or false ?? But anyway, hope Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises will give dates of cancelled cruises sooner than later, so we are not booking flights, hotels, etc... suebussy Posted June 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Thanks for sharing, it gives me hope that my November cruise from Bayonne will still happen!
Lawlsagna Posted June 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Norwegian recently announced that the Jewel was cancelled until Feb 27th, so this document is already inaccurate.
DiWilliams Posted June 10, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2020 As an FYI - Cunard has just “extended its pause in operations to sailings up to and including 1 November 2020 for Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, and 23 November for Queen Elizabeth.”
Rare bobmacliberty Posted June 10, 2020 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2020 This spreadsheet was supposedly leaked and was taken down when posted. Speculation is that it is an internal document meant for the NCL engineering team who needs to make sure that all mechanical systems are ready before cruising restarts (because of the propulsion type column). Who knows how accurate it is.
JT1962 Posted June 10, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Norwegian recently announced that the Jewel was cancelled until Feb 27th, so this document is already inaccurate. Jewel appears to be moving from Australia, so that probably referred to Australia dates. Cruises could restart sooner at it’s new location. Lawlsagna Posted June 10, 2020 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2020 3 minutes ago, ChC said: From 21st to 27th, six days apart seems to be very credible. The first sailing on the Jewel isn't until 3-18-2021. If they were doing a crew quarantine ahead of time, I could understand having the crew aboard the ship for ~30 days prior to the first sail date, but that would mean that all of these dates are a month behind the actual sail date, and wouldn't reflect the restart dates for consumers. The first sailings on Insignia after the 're-launch' date are all to/from Canada until November 10th. Canada isn't allowing ships until after October 31st, so that crew would be sitting on a ship for nearly 7 weeks until it sails from Miami. While I haven't looked into all of them, quite a few of these sailings follow the same inconsistencies, so I just don't think it's a credible source.
