???'s ABOUT 1 DAY SALE

We've paid our deposit, but we did not book through CCL. Will the sale prices be posted on their website, or will I need to call CCL to get prices? Who does the upgrading/credit, CCL or the place you booked through? I not very cruise savvy yet, but learning from all of you. What do I need to do? Thanks

The sale actually began Wednesday so you should have gotten the One Day Sale rate if that's when you booked. CCL calls it a One Day Sale, but it last 2-3 days and agencies can begin selling it one day prior to the date that it's announced to the public. If the rate is less than what you paid, try to get an upgrade.

If you paid your deposit prior to Wednesday, you'd have to cancel and rebook, since it's for new bookings only. If your gency has a cancellation fee, it may not be worth it. Plus, every saling isn't on sale, so before you cancel your booking check with your agent.

I don't think you necessarily have to rebook. It depends on your agency. Call and ask what they can do for you.
I know that both times during my booking period when carnival had their 'one' day sale, the prices at the agency I booked dropped. I got upgraded during those times at no extra cost.
ASK!!
ASK!!
ASK!!
It doesn't hurt anyone to ask a question. An agency will not keep track of rates for you. You just need to be a little persistent in checking rates yourself, and then see what they can do for you when the prices drop.

Halos,
He/she may have to rebook to get the lower rate, but NOT the onboard credit or upgrade. Sorry you misunderstood.

Here's what the fine print and all of my agency communication says:
"Choose almost any sail date and get a FREE Best Available upgrade. Save up to $120 per person. Upgrade will be valid within stateroom category (Interior to Interior, Oceanview to Oceanview, Balcony to Balcony). This promotion is for NEW individual bookings and will be combinable with Supersaver (farecode CP1A) and Funtastic Super Sale (farecode CP1B) rates only. Farecodes must be requested at time of booking to receive this promotion. Credit for previous purchases is not permitted and guests who previously booked, cancelled and then rebook during this period are not eligible. Full deposits are required at time of booking. Promotions are subject to availability. Holidays may be excluded."
