Docs needed for US Permanent Resident on cruise

My husband and I will be cruising in May and I am alittle concerned about the documents we will need. I know for myself I am in the works of getting a passport. However, my husband is not a US citizen. He is a Permanent Resident, and his passport just expired!!:eek: Is there anyone out there that knows the specific documents that the cruise lines will want? I am currently trying to get into contact with the consulates of his country, but that is taking forever. If he doesn't have a passport, what documents whould he need? He has his Green Card and his PA drivers license. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Where is your curise going to? For most Mexico and Caribbean cruises all he will need is his green card and DL

We are cruising the caribbean. So does that mean if he has his GC and DL then they wont give him a hard time? My main concern is that it will take him forever to get cleared.

A passport would sure help, but it should not take longer than with the passport. I have traveled with and without, it just depends on how many non citizens are traveling. If you can get to his consulate it usually takes about 3 days to get the passport back.
