Docs needed for US Permanent Resident on cruise

My husband and I will be cruising in May and I am alittle concerned about the documents we will need. I know for myself I am in the works of getting a passport. However, my husband is not a US citizen. He is a Permanent Resident, and his passport just expired!! Is there anyone out there that knows the specific documents that the cruise lines will want? I am currently trying to get into contact with the consulates of his country, but that is taking forever. If he doesn't have a passport, what documents whould he need? He has his Green Card and his PA drivers license. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

A passport would sure help, but it should not take longer than with the passport. I have traveled with and without, it just depends on how many non citizens are traveling. If you can get to his consulate it usually takes about 3 days to get the passport back.

Good Luck
