tidecat Posted August 31, 2020 #26 Share Posted August 31, 2020 I had some friends recently honeymoon in Jamaica, so Jamaica is open. Aruba is open as well, but there are restrictions based on the state in the US in which you reside.

There is a difference. I think being "open for visitors" and "open for cruise ship visitors" is two different things, and for all practical purposes, there is no way to cruise to many of the island listed in the quote above. Right now, at least. For example, St Maarten: "Most crucially, all travelers to St Maarten must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of their travel date to St Maarten. (All visitors also need to fill out a St Maarten entry form that can be found here). [link deleted] The results must be uploaded as part of that form no later than 12 hours prior to departure. Visitors who do not provide such a result will be tested and then quarantined for 14 days at their own expense." https://www.caribjournal.com/2020/08/02/st-maarten-travelers-american-tourism/#:~:text=It should be noted that,of the island right now. There are simply too many hoops to jump through, with timing of said jumps very impractical, for cruising to realistically occur just yet to most Caribbean islands. But hope springs eternal that will change shortly.
