popper Posted February 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2006 We are looking at booking Voyager Dec 11th, Western Caribbean, cabins 1055 and 1057, looking for comments, good and bad. Thanks.
PaulaJK Posted February 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2006 We've sailed Voyager 1056 and 1054...think yours are on this same corridor.......All of the cabins below PH level are the same module. The difference in these aft cabins is the balcony, which is large. If you are enamoured of lounging on the balcony/verandah, these are great choices. We thoroughly enjoyed ours. Much has been written of Voyager's aft cabin vibration. I do feel it is present, although mostly not bothersome. If you are terribly prone to motion sickness, you might wish to factor this in. LEESRE Posted February 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Not been in either of those suites but have recently travelled in suite 1010 on same deck and we had no vibration problems. We certainly would book this suite again in that it is right next to the atrium and very convenient for lifts etc.
popper Posted February 11, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted February 11, 2006 Thank you for your replies. Did the noise from La Veranda bother you? Did you find people peering over the balcony of La Veranda looking on to your suite verandah?
PaulaJK Posted February 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2006 No, we were not bothered by noise from Verandah. In the morning, we did hear some chairs being moved but we are early risers. If this would present a problem for you, you could consider a C category on a lower cabin. No, no one was 'peering' down.....at the same time, if you are at the outer 1/2 or 1/3 of your verandah, you can look up & see some folks dining at Verandah and they can look down at you. i believe that this is why our friends prefer a similar room on deck 8. JDRMYS Posted February 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2006 It doesn't show up on the deck plan, but #1055 has one of the largest balconies on board -- it is a corner balcony that wraps around the side of the ship. Grab this suite before someone else does! We've spent 22 days in aft corner suites on decks 6 and 7 on the Voyager. We have never had any vibration or motion problems. We like these suites so much that we are booked for another 15 days in #674 for the Transatlantic cruise in November.
