Can I carry on a garmet bag??

I believe we are driving so we will have our formal clothes in a plain garmet bag, the type that the hangers are out the top....just plasticy type. Can I carry this on?? Or does it have to be checked....I think it will be wrecked if we have to check it, not on purpose just that it isn't very good quality, it is new but just not strong material.

 

Also how many carry ons are you allowed each???

You can carry on as many carry ons as you can carry.

 

They all must fit through the 11X17 inch opening of the xray machine.

Shouldn't be a problem but I would imagine it would depend on the security person working at the time. You may get lucky and they let you carry it through and wand scan it.

 

BTW, I still think your nutz driving. Going down won't be bad, but driving back with an onset of PCD :eek:

Oh I know......we are looking for a cheap flight but none to be had right now, we are going to keep our eyes open for a sell off but worst case....we be drivin:(

DH carries his tux in that type of bag all the time without a problem. He just folds it half to fit thru the scanner.:D
