Port cabin on Southbound?

I've seen mixed opinions on which side is the better side when sailing Southbound - so, I'm looking for more opinions and comments.

 

Do you like to have a port side cabin to see land or do you prefer to have starboard to see open water/smaller islands, etc.?

 

If it makes a difference we're looking at the Carnival Spirit with a balcony cabin for '07.

College Fjords is your glacier sailing?? So port has the advantage of viewing from your cabin, since most of the glaciers are on the left side.
