Seville is a great city to visit here are some tips suggestions and recommendations to consider if your planning a excursion in the city.

You are right about Seville being a great city to visit, especially for a few days.  A few years ago a friend gave us a great tip about a small 4 Star Hotel in a perfect downtown location that is part of a high-end cooking school.  Not only is the hotel very nice but you have an excellent restaurant in the facility (part of the cooking school).   The place is called Teverna del Alabardero and it is a gem.  Interestingly the same folks operate an excellent restaurant in Washington DC.  When we travel (we do a lot of independent land travel as well as many cruises) we love finding interesting hotels and this place is an amazing find.  In Spain we also like to use many of the quasi government owned Paradors (the one located in Granada's Ahlhambra is the best).
