Anyone know the category code for the Penthouse Balcony on the star?  I have seen it as both SC and SG.  I am thinking about bidding for an upgrade, and I want to be sure that I know where I COULD end up (want to stay more midship).  For my vacation budget, that is the most friendly.  Balcony is a must (according to DH).  Currently in a regular ol midship balcony. Not even the family balcony.

This site lists all cabin categories and provides great info on all of them:  https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/decks.php?ship=Norwegian-Star

We are on the Star in December in the OS too. I have been trying to find out if they still offer the breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. I thought I had read somewhere that they have removed this from some of the ships and just trying to confirm if this is the case with the Star. I have had no luck searching the NCL website.

I can't see any questions on that link. Just cabin descriptions.  Possibly because any link for me reverts to the .co.uk website.   Can you tell me what the answer is please.  We are in a suite on the Star in July.

Answer:
There is no Haven on the Star at all. Suite guests can enjoy breakfast in Cagneys free of charge, and lunch in Moderno free of charge.

Suites have breakfast and lunch in Moderno with overflow into Cagney's

The Moderno has an open salad breakfast buffet in the middle next to the Sugar Cane Mohito Bar

Just off the entry is commonly where the Concierge has his/her desk office.

The host/ess desk near the elevator foyer is used for both dining rooms.

Beware of the air door to deck 13 when the weather is foul - it is closed in that event and

access is as usual the central atrium elevators.

Ah remember some good ole times on this ship.

The STAR (sister ship to the DAWN) does not have a Haven.

The deck above Cagney's & Moderno are the two Garden Villa suites (elevator access by key card)

unique to these two ships.

On the JEWEL class ships the Haven is above Cagney's and Moderno

Regarding a private dining room - there is a possiblity to rope (curtain) off a section in the back

of Moderno for such an event - Moderno and Cagney's share the same galley - there is a

service passageway on the port side of these two - check with the Concierge about arrangements.

When you go to this LINK:

Norwegian Star Deck Plans, Layouts, Pictures, Videos (cruisedeckplans.com)

On the left side of the web page - - -

Do you see the classes of cabin types and generic images of that cabin description

of its features - - -

Note in upper right - - - click on the deck you are searching and look for your cabin - - -

have a photo icon or YouTube video - click on it to see more.

These features maybe blocked in the UK or other parts of the world - ???

To see the details of other NCL ships LINK:

Norwegian Cruise Line Cruise Ship Fleet (cruisedeckplans.com)

Click on the ship you are researching and browse away browse away

There are images of cabin type - generic images dimensions

(remember some cabins are mirror images of what you look at)

Banner bar at top click on WIKI PICS for more information

There is a feature for those folks who have a cruisedeckplan membership to use

the DRAG DECK to move one deck over another to highlight the pros & cons of cabin

location.

And then there is good ole Cruise Critic to fill in the missing VOID ? ? ?

The STAR is the sister ship to the DAWN and pretty much the same

deck plan layout a few tweaks here and there - - -

Does anyone know if this has changed? Is this still the case? Thank you!

There is no Haven on the Star.  It is still the case that NCL will use either Moderno or Cagneys as a breakfast and lunch option for suite guests.

Do they serve lunch on port days for suite guests?
