taupe formal gown

I found a beautiful taupe colored formal gown but dont have colored shoes to match. do I have to wear taupe colored shoes?? its a floor length gown.

Not necessarily..... a nice gold or bronze would go nicely with taupe. Or even a pretty pair of black velvet strappy sandals with a black velvet clutch would work (add black jewelry and voila')

I'd go for the gold or bronze. Wearing black might bring too much attention to the shoes and draw it away from your beautiful dress.

I have a taupe gown myself. This is a VERY hard color to match and mine leans more toward the bronze than the gold. Gold would look horrible with it!

I have had this gown for about 4-5 years and at the time, nothing seemed to work. I finally had a pair of bridal shoes dyed to match.

A bronze shoe would look well with a taupe gown.

 

Or you might find a dressy silk print slide that has a melange of colors that blend well the taupe.

And gold shoes looked quite nice with it. However I was able to find a pair of strappy sandals that matched perfectly, so I bought and wore them instead.

I have a floor length taupe formal and was looking for bronze. I happened across a pair of taupe shoes that look more "nude" so I got them.

I agree with the black. I think that would look stunning and the right shoes and accessories would enhance the dress instead of detract from it.

Try Victoria's Secret .com. They have beautiful shoes in all colors. Look at the Rhinestone slide sandals.

You could always wear clear shoes--they are relatively inexpensive and you can wear them with just about anything!
