ckrobyn Posted February 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2006 march 5,2006 on explorer was told by someone they empty pools at night is this true, i like to swim late with cocktail. this is my first cruise I don't think so - I believe the pools are open 24 hours. They empty the pools between sailings as far as I know..... There was a sign by the pools on the AOS that said they were open 24 hours, unless I had one too many mudslides???LOL

cb at sea Posted February 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2006 On our Explorer trip, they did drain one of the pools at a time-- and then refilled, of course. You want them to, don't you? All those people, all of those kids.... One pool at least should be open, and the hot tubs are treated water, so they don't have to be drained. zotzer Posted February 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Was the person talking about RCI, or just cruises in general? I know when I cruised on Carnival (which was a long time ago) that they emptied the pools at night. RCI didn't/doesn't as far as I know. Maybe you heard it from someone who has only cruised another line. Tracy
