LEMJMcC Posted May 27, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2021 Do travel agents/cruise planners have access to more rooms than RCI list as available on their own website? Thanks.

Thanks. While in many cases travel agents can see more rooms available than what you can see on Royals website those rooms are available to book with Royal...you just need to call. if you are only seeing a couple of rooms on Royal’s site then travel agents won’t see any more. It is only when Royal is showing a lot of rooms that a TA may see more because in some cases Royal has a maximum number of rooms that they show.

Maybe, the RCI may not show all rooms available on their web site - sometimes you have to search in a certain way.

Yes, if they have group space blocked. Their price may be lower as well.

Unless they are named and deposited bookings all that groups hold is space and not actual cabins.
back-at-it Posted May 27, 2021 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2021 I have always booked through the Cruise Line Company that I was sailing with. But, I just booked a RCI cruise through a Agent and got the same price, but got more peaks. I was seeing the same rooms as the Agent.

Yes, however that's only usually done when you have a known confirmed group (i.e. a wedding party or something similar) and those rooms once allocated rarely make it back into inventory. Yes that was my point. I’ve worked groups as a TA and cruise line rep. I understand what can and cannot be done.
