jb8162 Posted June 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2021 We are on the Panorama on November 13th 2021, out of Long Beach. Does anybody know if there are any excursions that the primary entertainment are Mariachis. The ports are Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We see a few that are some form of entertainment however they don't mention Mariachi. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If there are none, any local establishments that may have some? canadjineh Posted June 19, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2021 Your best bet would be in PV, as the state of Jalisco is the birthplace of Mariachi. One possibility is a little restaurant called Casa Tradicional. You can email them to ask ahead of time. info@casatraditional.com (I haven't used this email address, so I'm not sure if the 'anglicized' spelling of the restaurant name is correct, or if the 't' should be a 'c' like the Mexican name of the place.) Their address is: Puerto Vallarta Hidalgo 335 Col. Centro 48300 Puerto Vallarta, Jal. Opening: Monday - Sunday: 12pm - 11pm Phone: 322 222 1812

Rare Hlitner Posted June 25, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2021 You would be wasting your time. While Casa Traditional used to have a smallish Mariachi group on some evenings (at dinner time) your ship departs at 8pm which means you would be gone from town hours before any possible entertainment at that restaurant. I have lived in PV for the past 15 winters and do not recall anyplace in town (Centro or the Romantic Zone) where you can hear mariachi during the daytime. There is sometimes a roving mariachi group moving around the Romantic Zone (primarily along Los Muertos Beach) but running into them would be a matter of luck. If you are ever in PV for an overnight stay, we do have a couple of decent restaurants that has a decent mariachi group doing some dinner time sets.
