Long Bay/Pineapple on ATLANTIC side-rougher water??

Hi,

After alot of research we decided to take a cab to Long Bay Beach on our stop on the island in March. I read a post that someone said that Long Bay beach had alot of waves the day they were there. We are in need of a beach that has calm "bath tub" like water-one of the people in our group prefers very calm water as opposed to waves.

Would we be better off going to one of the beaches on the Caribbean Sea side for calmer water? Do the Atlantic side beaches still have the beautiful blue clear calm waters?

Weather is weather.....you can't control it.

The day we were at Long Beach there wasnt even a ripple....gorgeous.

But then the day before on St. Martin they were windsurfing at the beach we researched to be the best for snorkling.....very windy

On St. Lucia we couldnt even stop at the bay we were supposed to for a snorkle while on a catamaran excursion - too windy and rough.... and then

on Barbados at Folkstone (Natl park) where everyone snorkles they were surfing on 5 foot waves.......

SO - either have an alternate plan for the day or go with the knowledge that you can't control the weather/ocean and just enjoy ;)
