Opening verandas

Does Viking allow the veranda passageway to be open so you can have access to an adjoining veranda with travel companions?

Since the balcony dividers provide some restriction to the spread of fire, in the event of a balcony fire similar to the Star Princess in 2006, the opening of dividers is at the discretion of the ship's Master.

 

If you ask the cabin steward, I imagine you have a reasonably good chance of getting a positive response. With Viking, customer service is a real priority from the Captain down.

 

However, as with all ships, no matter what others have experienced, please be aware, as with all safety issues, the Master has the final say.
