3AAAcruisers Posted June 28, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2021 We've made several cruises on MSC but won't anymore. As of today, June 27th 2021 we still haven't received our refund from a cruise we paid for in 8-2019. The cruise was scheduled to sail in May of 2020 but was cancelled because of the pandemic. MSC keeps stating the refund is coming but we haven't received it, we'll never set step on any of MSC ships again. Chris Austin
Lisichka Posted June 28, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Do a charge back on your credit card. I would have done that years ago.

Dispute time frame is usually 60 days after the statement cycle, in which the disputed transaction was posted, closed. Not sure if that's an avenue still available. To the OP - Sorry to hear that. Did you book through a TA? Ask your TA to go to their MSC BDM to escalate the issue.
Geobugs Posted June 28, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2021 If your Future Cruise Credit is unused by April 30, 2022, you will automatically receive a full refund equal to the original amount paid. Expect to get a refund after April 30, 2022.

If there was ongoing communication with MSC about a refund then you can still do a charge back.

3AAAcruisers Posted July 1, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted July 1, 2021 Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The credit card company can't do a charge back after 60 days as stated in other post. I paid in full for the cruise in 8-2019 and the cruise was not cancelled by MSC until 5-2020. I've filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office and MSC is not responding. I would not suggest anyone to make a deposit with them. I won't sail on them again, period.

Did you talk to the credit card company? The 60 days window is not true in this case with some credit cards. I did it for another travel reservation a year after the charge.
