AkSusan Posted February 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2006 All depends how low the clouds would be when it rains. They could be sitting on the mountain and then you wouldn't have your view. I haven't eaten at the Seven Glaciers, but when relatives have been here we've taken the tram up and eating in the cafeteria they have set up on the other side of the building from the restaurant. And if the parasailors are sailing that day, it's quite a site to watch them glide their way down the mountain. Susan in Anchorage :)
greatam Posted February 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2006 Make sure you make reservations. If you don't have reservations, you have to pay the standard tram fee up and down the mountain. Also, check when they are open. Sometimes, only Friday and Sat nights. On the weekends it can be very crowded and you may have to eat in the lounge. The view is incredible, but you can see the same thing from the cafeteria. I have eaten both places and the view is not nearly as good in the evening (only time Seven Glaciers is open) as it is in the daytime. The food is very good, but not truly a Four Diamond. The service is not quite up to par in that class restaurant. Enjoy!!!
