Does Viking allow private tours off the ship in Iceland?

They (and Icelandic authorities) are currently allowing people to go off on their own.  However, that can change at any time, so I personally would be reluctant to book private excursions or count on being able to wander where you want.  As a minimum, I'd look for private tours that don't require payment up front, or that will reimburse you if the ship is able to make port and/or let passengers off. And for group third-party excursions, I'd keep in mind that you may be in close proximity to tourists who may not be vaccinated or recently tested.

It keeps changing but Sept 7th sailing was notified we were back in the bubble- no outside excursions
