Exactly what type of restaurant is the Blue Lagoon on the Jewel? Thanks in advance.

I would compare the Blue Lagoon to a small diner of a coffee shop. You can get great hamburgers/cheesburgers, fries, tasty buffalo wings, soups, salad, potato skins, oriental noodles. Simple foods. It is open for 24 hours with a breakfast menu of limited hot items and continental breakfast food.

 

Located on Deck 8 mid ship.

I don't think I have too much to add, but to say it became one of our very favorite places. I think I would refer to it more of a grill or TGIFs type than a coffee shop, but either way, you get the idea. NMnita

One of my favorite places too!! They have one on the Star. It is open 24/7!! Limited seating however. There is a thread going about the food in the Dawn and Star's Blue Lagoon that talks about the food offered.

I am thinking of taking the Star in Sept/Oct: repo. DH doesn't know this yet: I will let him know one of these days. LOL

Everyone I know that looks at the menus beforehand and doesn't see anything they want refer to the night as being a "blue lagoon night". :D

 

Sounds like a movie if you catch my drift.

The Blue Lagoon is one of my favorite stops. Excellent Olde English style fish and chips, as well as hot (spicy) chili. A fun place for a quick snack.

Can we order room service and get food from Blue Lagoon or another restaurant brought to our cabin? If not, I guess it would be acceptable to get the food ourselves and bring it to our cabin, right?

You can always bring your foods back to your room...But, I don't think that you can order room service from the restaurants, just from "room service".

Those in suites with butler service can order from any restaurant and dine in their cabins through their butler. The rest of us are limited to basic room service choices.
