FCC Deadlines

Good morning. We are currently booked on a cruise in January 2022. We have decided to use the Cruise With Confidence (CWC) guarantee to cancel this cruise. Given that the CWC states that we must book by April 2022 and sail by September 2022 we are considering a cruise for the September. My question is twofold…

1. Will the FCC be applied to the deposit?

2. if we were to book this now and circumstances required us to cancel or move it again, would we have any future FCC applied?

I cannot find any information pertaining to this on their website (although I might have missed something), so if anyone has had any experience with this situation your input would be appreciated.

According to Celebrity's web site under "Cruise with Confidence" frequently asked questions;

What if a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) was used to pay for my existing cruise, and now I want to cancel it and receive an FCC under Cruise with Confidence?

If a Future Cruise Credit was used to pay for either all or a portion of your existing reservation, we are making it easy for you by combining all funds into one FCC. The value of the original FCC will now be added to the new FCC at 100% of its original value, plus the addition of any amount paid. Regardless of the original FCC’s expiration date, the new FCC must be applied by April 30, 2022, at which time all unused funds will expire, for sailings departing on or before September 30, 2022.

Thank you. That answers #2. Would you have a link to this please, maybe there is something else there that covers question number 1.

As Cruise with Confidence doesn't currently cover cruises departing after May 4, 2022 I think once you book for Sep 2022 you won't be able to cancel and get back a FCC certificate. From the FAQ:

These (CWC) benefits are currently available on reservations made by August 31, 2021 on sailings departing on or before May 4, 2022

That could change but those are the current dates.

I've used a CWC FCC for the deposit (Royal) but I had to call. I actually used the certificate for one NRD, got a new certificate issued a day later, and then used that certificate to pay for another NRD, and have some balance left.
