Petrocelli Posted August 24, 2021 Author #26 Share Posted August 24, 2021 (edited) My initial post was not well written. I was not asking about the difficulty of physically walking ont to the ship. (I'm 60 and in pretty good shape, so I can negotiate gangplanks, etc.) I was more concerned about the time involved in getting in and out of the ship. One poster noted that you have to go through a metal detector each time, and that could be a hassle. Thanks to everyone for their responses! As long as you aren’t tendering it takes no time to get off the ship. (If you are tendering you have to wait for your tender number / shore excursion to be called so there is a wait). If you arrive at the same time as a lot of people then boarding can take a few minutes. It’s usually only a few minutes though. And, yes each time you board the ship, your jacket and anything you are carrying goes through the x-ray machine and you walk through the scanner. It takes no time at all.
