Rare pinotlover Posted September 6, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2021 Reading current articles in Forbes and other publications it appears that some countries, with Italy and other Med countries leading the list, are tired of all the parked cruise ships in the harbors, ports, and coastal areas. Ships engines constantly running, with constant lights on have become both an eyesore and an environmental issue. It sounds like those countries are starting to tell the ships owners to park their ships elsewhere. Oceania’s ships are flagged out of what convenient country to sail from?!! Will they pay to park them in Miami, perhaps back in Astoria?
Rare Noxequifans Posted September 6, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2021 I believe Oceania ships are flagged out of the Marshall Islands ... the city of Majuro.
avalong Posted September 6, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2021 The Regatta, Carnival's Panorama and Princess' Emerald, Ruby and I think Grand (it changes every now and then) are parked right offshore from where I live. My husband views them daily on his bike ride. I don't notice ANY of those issues.

Yes, I know. Do you think that will be a convenient place to anchor until they are ready to sail? 😳
Rare Noxequifans Posted September 6, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2021 (edited) I believe this website can locate particular ships. https://www.*****/cruise-ship-tracker/ Sorry when I posted the URL it became partially obscured. I found out that the Insignia is in Miami and the Regatta is in Long Beach CA. Edited September 6, 2021 by Noxequifans
