vacation44 Posted September 16, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2021 We, consisting of my husband and I and our two young adult children, are currently booked in two adjourning cabins with large balconies. These cabins are our usual go to cabins. I just realized we would save approximately $3,000 if we switched to an 1 bedroom obstructed family suite which has two full bathrooms (requirement). Included in this category is butler and concierge service. But this cabin does not have a balcony as it seems to have one very large window and two other windows. My initial thoughts are to take the savings, but I am afraid I will miss the large balcony. Any opinions will be appreciated.
Darcy03231 Posted September 16, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2021 I'd switch. Since you're in port every day on this cruise you really won't have a lot of time to spend out on the balcony anyway. I'd use the extra money to take some amazing shore excursions or to spend a few days before or after your cruise in Honolulu.

Our concierge was very helpful and the breakfast was Cagney's wonderful. We didn't miss the balcony because of the intensive nature of the ports. vacation44 Posted September 26, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted September 26, 2021 Thank you both for your opinions. I made the switch and saved a little over $3,500!
bluesea777 Posted September 26, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2021 Congrats on making the switch, saving a bunch of money! When we were on POA we had an OK (Obstructed Ocean View) cabin 7602 and loved it. It had floor to ceiling windows and we were able to see the sea and sky. We were up on deck for the Na'Pali sail past. Did not need or miss the balcony.
