Rare AussieBoyTX Posted November 3, 2021 Author #26 Share Posted November 3, 2021 Not too many surprises left. Le Commandant Charcot began its inaugural cruise to Antarctica on Monday. Next destination is Liard Island, which was discovered and named by the French Antarctic Expedition, 1908–10, under Jean-Baptiste Charcot. Le Bellot passed through the Suez Canal overnight today. Next stop, Ain Sukhna, Egypt. The other ships remain enroute.
Rare gogo65 Posted November 7, 2021 #27 Share Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) Still waiting for our Antartica cruise to be cancelled. They cancelled our 7 day NZ cruise (B2B) two weeks ago, and I expected Antartica to be cancelled last week. Although I’m not convinced the Feds will let them go ahead, theres a part of me that is still hanging on. The Tasmanian government updated there cruise advice two weeks ago, which allows cruises as long as certain documentation etc is provided. It doesn't feel like Ponant will have to jump through hoops with Tasmania, just the Feds. Silver Muse is still booked to start cruising in December (SS are still selling), so maybe both Ponant and SS are still hanging on by a thread. If not we've got a hold on another cruise (The northeast passage in Aug), so happy either way. Edited November 7, 2021 by gogo65
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted November 12, 2021 Author #28 Share Posted November 12, 2021 Le Lyrial has reached Montevideo -- hoping some passengers post pictures from that trip from Lisbon. Le Champlain will reach Cozumel probably tomorrow (Saturday) just in time for its first cruise. After a tour of Red Sea resort destinations, Le Bellot has passed the Strait of Hormuz and is now off the coast of Somalia with the interesting AIS notation of: ARMED GUARDS SC POV L'Austral & Le Boreal continue their journeys to Ushuaia. Rare AussieBoyTX Posted November 13, 2021 Author #29 Share Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) I spaced. Le Bellot sailed through Bab-el-Mandeb between Yemen and Djibouti. 🤦♂️ Edited November 13, 2021 by AussieBoyTX
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted November 15, 2021 Author #30 Share Posted November 15, 2021 Le Champlain leaves Cozumel tonight for its Central America cruise. I saw that it's berthed next to MS The World -- another ship we'd like to try.

Rare AussieBoyTX Posted November 22, 2021 Author #33 Share Posted November 22, 2021 (edited) Aside from Australia / New Zealand, it seems like everything is sailing...Le Comandant Charcot, Le Lyrial, Le Boreal & L'Austral are cruising the Antarctic. Le Bellot is doing its first Seychelles cruise and I can personally confirm that Le Champlain is sailing Mexico & Central America. 😀 Edited November 22, 2021 by AussieBoyTX
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted December 3, 2021 Author #34 Share Posted December 3, 2021 (edited) Le Dumont d’Urville will arrive in the Caribbean shortly. Due to unrest in Martinique, the first two cruises (at least) will depart from Saint Lucia. Passengers still fly to Fort-de-France and then take a ferry to Saint Lucia, where they’ll meet the ship.
