Glaciers Posted February 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2006 These photos and information are from the New York to Los Angeles portion of the 2006 World Cruise on the Queen Elizabeth 2. http://community.webshots.com/user/delrock I saved just about every bit of information we obtained while on the cruise. If you'd like to see other information, just let me know. If I've got it, I'll try to post it at that link.
mountainhouse Posted February 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2006 Thanks for sharing. With so many ships that look like giant boxes, her lines look even more outstanding.
Mark Posted February 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2006 Thanks for sharing your photos....they were fantastic! You never think of the QE2 as an old ship or as getting old since she always looks so good from a distance...great traditional lines, sleek and elegant! However, there are some of your photos that remind me that she is now an old lady...low ceilings, many support columns and beams all over the place, the small theatre and the cabin bathroom looks like it has not been update since the ship was launched. In many ways, your QE2 photos remind me a lot of that other classic line the Norway / France that is now sitting in limbo in the far east with an unknown fate due to asbestos. I think Cunard should sink some serious bucks into QE2 and rebuild her... Thanks again.
