Kevin308 Posted October 13, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2021 So my wife as decided not to go on the cruise we have coming up this weekend. She just decided she isn't up for it with the mask and all. I think I am still going to go without her. Do I need to let anyone know she is not going to go? DB2VA Posted October 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2021 Your choices are to cancel her, or let her be a no show. There are monetary repercussions for each. I don't remember the rules, but do a search here as it's been discussed many times.
sanmarcosman Posted October 13, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2021 You're better not to say anything. When checking in if they ask where she is we say " she's arriving separately. " This way she will get refunded the port fees and taxes she paid. If you say anything you get $ ZERO. Good luck and have fun.

balcony bound Posted October 14, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2021 I have the same situation - hubby doesn't want to jump through the testing hoops and masks so I'm going solo. I called my PVP to take him off the reservation. PVP said with the COVID protocols they are being much more lenient about changes. I will get back his port fees and taxes, PVP said it will take a couple weeks to see those refunded on my credit card. I didn't want to enter all his health survey information and such and then hassle with being asked if he's sailing at the pier so this worked out well. It's been a long wait for this several times cancelled cruise, LOL I'm determined to be on it.
