Changing room after cruise is paid in full

I have a balcony on the Glory on the 11th floor.  Because of lack of privacy on that type of balcony (below serenity), I was thinking of moving to the 7th floor.  Will that be possible?  Don't see the option on the website.

Typically pre covid carnival did not allow you to drop to a lower category. Is it a higher or lower category?

 

If the price is the same and it's a higher category call whomever you booked with.

The one I have at the moment is more expensive (small difference).

Let's say you have a 8E, typically you cant change to a 8D or lower, only upgrade.

Thanks for the info.  I guess I'll stay in the 11th floor, should still be great.

  If you don’t mind a bit of a wait, why not call and at least give it a try?  Covid has the cruise lines doing things they normally wouldn’t.

I was able to switch from a 4-person oceanview sardine can to two rooms - a 2-person oceanview and a 2-person porthole.  Prices had fallen so much that we also ended up with an extra $300 OBC.  This was by simply researching the rooms I wanted, noting their new low price, and asking my travel agency if we could switch to them.  Your mileage may vary.

I have switched from a higher to a lower, after final payment.  They just gave me the difference in OBC.
