Diane67B Posted October 15, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2021 I’m can’t figure out why I keep reading that other cruisers on this board are saying they got insurance for 25 to 45 dollars and I am quoted around 250 a person. I am in Canada and we can’t get insurance for covid because of the travel advisory against cruising. I have my pcr covid test booked 2 days before embarking. Is that enough if I get covid? I could get plain insurance in Canada for all other reasons…heart attack, lost luggage, etc. I called NCL and they were very vague about everything. Please help! Not sure what to do. macandlucy Posted October 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2021 Check out Manulife covid insurance. I believe their cruise exclusion only applies to people who are not vaccinated

roger001 Posted October 15, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2021 A quality insurance policy generally runs about 8% of the cruise cost.
Diane67B Posted October 15, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted October 15, 2021 Thanks so much for the responses. Apparently, NCL is not giving insurance to Canadians right now. CAA, which is my regular provider just started including cruising in their insurance policies. (Thank God!) I got 5 million health because I am double vaccinated. I just about had a heart attack when I thought I couldn’t get insurance! I guess I jumped the gun a little. 😬 All is well. Have an awesome day!
