I know that you can charge things to your room, but can you have 2 separate accounts for 1 room?

Yes...each cruise card can have its own account.

My Roomie and I do this all the time. You can either register two cards at check in or go to the Purser's desk anytime during the cruise and give them the second card.

My wife and I always have individual shipboard accounts. I usually purchase several gifts on the cruise for my wife. Things I observe her wanting but not buying. I might give them as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift. I don't want her to see the bill and spoil a future surprise, and what I pay for it, is not for her eyes anyway. I will also pay my account up in full, one day early, to avoid having an express check out statement sent to the cabin. They will run off a paid receipt when you settle your account, and the purser will send a bill only if a new charge appears. After your account is paid, it's up to you to keep the slate clean.

My husband and I each received our own final bill on the last day even though they both were charged to the same credit card. Room charges are totally based on which room card you used for the transaction.
