Grandeur Boarding question?

Recommended Posts

My sister and I are going on March 2, out of Tampa. I've read in several threads that people have boarded quickly at 11:00am or so, but reading my documents, we're told we can board beginning at 3pm. I don't want to miss a minute on board - do we go early, or wait until 3?

This is my first time with RCI - first cruise with Princess, we waited until the boarding time posted in the documents, and found out we missed a cocktail party, we could have boarded much earlier!

Thanks!

Kim, go early! I didn't realize I could do that till I read about it here on CC. What a wonderful thing it is to be on the ship early, check it out, eat lunch at the Windjammer, get a drink and watch everyone else boarding HOURS after I did!

Go early and enjoy!

Just off Graudeur last week. We arrived at the port in Tampa around 11:30 and checked our luggage onto the boat. We could have gotten on but decided to walk around the port for a while. They have a really nice port. There are several places to eat and some nice little shops to browse in. There is also a movie theater, which I thought would be a good idea after the cruise if you had a late flight out, but I didn't check the hours of operation, etc. Anyway, you can get on the ship early but not in your room until after 1:00 p.m. which is not a big problem as there is certainly enough to do to occupy your time. Hope this helps.
