Pellaz Posted November 24, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2021 We were at Nassau back in October on the Mardi Gras and were surprised that there were no excursions offered to Atlantis and Aquaventure at all on our sailing. We purchased day-passes for Aquaventure through Atlantis itself for $150 each (ouch). Our port times were 7am - 3 pm which is marginal for visiting the water-park. We were told conflicting things while we were there: we heard that some cruises or cruise lines had Atlantis excursions, but also that no cruise excursions were being offered yet, but that would be changing "soon" and they would be opening up. Anyone been to Atlantis recently on a ship excursion?
Hazel77 Posted November 24, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2021 We are sailing mid-December with Disney and have an Atlantis Pool and Beach excursion booked. We just booked last week and this was the only one I saw for Atlantis.

You might want to double check that excursion, historically it’s been either aqua adventure which includes pools, slides, beach and aquarium, or just beach and aquarium., no pools/slides. It's just pool & beach; no slides. Our DD is too short for most of the slides so this is perfect for us. × Exclusive Atlantis Spend the whole day enjoying what the Atlantis Resort has to offer. On this adventure you will… Drive approximately 25 minutes through Nassau as you make your way to the world-renowned Atlantis Paradise Island. Once you arrive to your exclusive Beach Tower Experience, you will be able to relax and soak up the warm Caribbean sun at the world famous Atlantis Resort. This is an all-day private access to a reserved area of the resort, allowing you enjoy your day in paradise. Guests will have exclusive access to the Lazy River, River Pool, Poseidon's Kids Pool, a reserved portion of the Atlantis Beach. Atlantis lounge chairs and towels are provided. All other areas of Atlantis are not permitted on your excursions. Lunch is available for purchase with options such as burgers, wraps, salads and more at Beach Bar & Grill. After an amazing day in the sun you will be taken right back to your ship.

This looks like a new option, we once left 3 kids back on the ship with the grandparents due to height requirements, the beach/aquarium option didn’t seem worth it. The "Lazy River" described there is great for kids, but should not be confused with the "Rapids River" over in Aquaventure. I'm glad to see that kids' area is open again. Seems like it's been closed a lot for renovations or due to COVID. Be advised that weather could cause the beach to be closed for swimming; when I was there in early November the beach was red-flagged ("No swimming allowed") for four days straight...something I had never seen before. Thanks, though, for your info about the excursion offered through Disney. It shows that yes, at least some excursions are being offered through the cruise lines.
