bosswench Posted November 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2021 My friend has told me that she wants to go "sightseeing" on our Belize stop in February. I know about the ruins, cave tubing, and beaches, but not sure what there is to "sightsee" on a cruise stop. We are not really interested in seeing ruins as we frequently travel in Mexico and have seen many. Any suggestions on where to go or what kind of excursion to arrange? It's a bit of a mystery. TIA!! OCruisers Posted November 30, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Ask a taxi driver and/or several taxi drivers where they would take you "sightseeing". Someone may be offering something you would enjoy! 😎
arlodog Posted January 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2022 I would recommend contacting King David. You can find out about him on trip advisor--e is consistently highly rated. Here is his website: https://www.kingdavidbelizetours.com We have gone with him 3 times and each time he has shown us different things to see and experience. Great guy who is very passionate about what he does!
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2022 There are also Belize City tours that take you around to various places in and around Belize City. OR... you can easily walk up Fort Street to the swinging bridge, hang a left and walk down to the oldest Anglican church in the Western Hemisphere and also the cultural museum across the street (which you can see from the tender on the way into the pier). Then come back across the swing bridge and walk down Queen Street to the Marine Parade along the sea side and follow it to your left to a couple of National Art and History museums. then follow Marine Parade back down to the tender pier seeing the lighthouse and the new Belize sign.
