brilliantseas Posted December 6, 2021 Author #52 Share Posted December 6, 2021 Game of Thrones Trivia starts at 1:45, followed by Bingo at 2:15, yet most of the people in the theater seem to be here for Bingo rather than trivia. The Bingo session is 3 games. The basic package is $25, which includes 3 chances to win on each game. $38 doubles your sheet to including 6 chances to win on each game and 12 pull tabs. The Fanatic package is $48, and includes 9 chances to win on each of the 3 games, a dauber, and 15 pull tabs. They also have a $58 package that includes all of the above, as well as a Bingo Fanatic t-shirt. Cash Craze pull tab strips are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. I just learned from another passenger that the cruise director announced 1,800 passengers last night at the Welcome Aboard show, or just shy of 85%. Lower berth capacity on the Carnival Legend is 2,124, although they sail at 105-110% capacity at peak times, including the sleeper sofas and pull-down bunks in the triples and quads.

brilliantseas Posted December 6, 2021 Author #57 Share Posted December 6, 2021 Grabbed a Thirsty Frog Caribbean Wheat for Wheely Big Trivia. Small turnout for this one. The lobby decorations for Christmas are beautiful. The Menorah was broken down overnight following the last night of Hanukkah.

kupton Posted December 6, 2021 #61 Share Posted December 6, 2021 I'm really enjoying this review as we are on the Legend for Xmas. Bummed about the fries at Guy's Burgers. Nothing better than Guy's burgers and fries after a day at the beach. Definitely need to try the Tiramisu. Not sure how I missed that before. brilliantseas Posted December 6, 2021 Author #62 Share Posted December 6, 2021 For those wondering, Ship on a Stick is back! Pre-COVID, some of the ships had been substituting a medal in place of the ship on a stick for trivia, but I can confirm that SoaS is back and here to stay!

brilliantseas Posted December 7, 2021 Author #68 Share Posted December 7, 2021 Tonight's Elegent Night dinner menu, also known as "Feast". I believe the Blackened Pork Tart is new to the menu? I don't recall seeing it before, but it sounds like something worth trying? No tuxedos spotted yet, but I have seen everything from suits and evening gowns to a gentleman in a Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt and jeans in the Truffles Restaurant. There were too many people playing relative to the prize pool. Instead, I went to the casino and but $20 into the Wheel of Fortune $1 slot machine. Won $62 on the 2nd spin. While I didn't win $1,000 playing bingo, I was happy to walk away up $52.

I would assume this is due to ongoing group activity restrictions. There were definitely group classes on the November 14th sailing. Here's a picture of my assisted yoga pose that my classmate took for me.
brilliantseas Posted December 7, 2021 Author #72 Share Posted December 7, 2021 I had to try the Blackened Pork Tart as it is something new after my many cruises on Carnival. I highly recommend giving them a try. Three tiny tarts filled with a citrus cream and topped with a small piece of grilled pork tenderloin, topped with charred pineapple. My second course was the spinach salad with walnuts and bleu cheese dressing. For my entree, I had the broiled lobster tail with mushroom risotto. I missed having the grilled shrimp served with the lobster tail as the lobster tail is small (maybe 3 ounces?) and is gone in just 4 or 5 bites. I Made, my server this evening, offered a second before serving dessert, but I politely declined. Speaking of dessert, it is Creme Brulee night! Notably missing are the berries on top. I Made was friendly, and his assistant also filled my water once, but dinner service was not up to the level of Almer and Joseph from last night.

I prefer the black jack table or gaming machines if I'm not feeling especially sharp.

My tablemates and I thought the custard too eggy and the shell was way too thick. I've had better many times on Carnival.

It had enough vanilla flavor so as not to be a bland egg custard.
