Explorer or Mariner

I know they are both designed the same because they are both Vision class ships. Which one does everybody prefer?

We enjoyed Mariner last summer (July), but if you have young ones (mine 3 & 6) no Adventure Beach (AB) pool set-up on Mariner; although some RC carribbean books show an AB pool. Girls still loved the trip and can not wait foir next trip. Preppng for next cruise on Radiance next month (why joined boards) & picked it just to be sure we had a ship with AB this trip.

can't help you yet.....i'm sailing on the explorer in june and the mariner in december....after that i'll be able to help.

I have been on both and I love them both - but I love the mariner just a little more! I know this does not help - but - they are both great and identical in layouts - the mariner has the best captain EVER - CAPTAIN JOHNNY!!! - He is funny and personable - the best captain I have ever sailed with. I like the Mariner decor a little better too.

I vote Mariner. The ship is newer and we loved Capt Johnny.

Explorer has internal balconies (within the superstructure). Mariner has external balconies, so balcony cabin square footage is greater on the Mariner.
