Internet Plans - Change on board

I am pre paying internet for my family, buying them the basic internet.  If one of my adult kids decides that they need more than the social plan, is it easy enough for them to go to guest services, upgrade and pay for it themselves?

Yes.  Your adult child may be able to upgrade on their own through the app once on board.  Regardless, if you are paying your adult child’s account with your credit card and giving them unlimited spending, they can go to guest services and use cash to “pay down” their account, thus you won’t be paying for them to upgrade.   Hope that makes sense.

Since my DH is not a big cruise fan, sometimes I pay for friends to cruise with me.  Since I don’t want to pay their bar bill, they have their own account and I go to guest services pay cash towards their account or even a credit card to pay their auto gratuities.  Easily done.

Thank you.  Yes, I knew it went onto which ever card they have on file.  The 23 year old is on his own, but the 18 year old who is a freshman in college we will put on our card.  I always get internet, and recently due to work issues I get an upgraded one, but everyone else can get the Social plan.  My husband barely uses the Social plan unless one of us have messaged him!  While we will be on an 8 day cruise, one port is San Juan.  I figure while there everyone can get caught up on their emails!!

Ah yes. I remember taking an 18 year old college student on a cruise.  He apparently thought he was independently wealthy and kept going back to the casino.  Of course I saw how much he was gambling. At midnight one night, I told my husband to go get him or his mommy is going to show up at the poker table and drag him away.

Good luck.

That is too funny!  He knows his gambling is on him!  If he owes us for gambling we won't pay his tuition!  I remember the 23 year old's first time gambling on the ship when he was 18!!  I will say that the 18 year old was thrilled that we will be doing a slot pull!!
