The overwhelming majority of the time the house always wins therefore Carnival is generous with offering players cheap rates as they believe they'll get their that discounted fare money back.

No question, the gamblers get the best rates and I personally don't care if they cruise for free.

It does however get under my skin the number of times that gamblers brag about the rates they get just like the newbies brag about the RU rates that the algorithm bestowed to them for reduced price Cheers.

Do they only have one room at these promo rates? Because on my VIFP offers I have one showing $26 pp and another showing $36 pp and when I click through they jump to $2xx or $3xx something. But when I go back out and refresh, it's still showing the promo rates. 😠

The terms for these cruises are pretty narrow. Some are only 2-5 day sailings within the next two months. The low rates are generally for interior GUAR cabins as well, so if you select a particular cabin you might be invalidating the promo. Make sure you are entering the VIFP # that gets those rates, my husband gets them, I do not.

Yes, overwhelming majority of people find bragging to be an undesirable trait

If you're asking if you can book two rooms on the same sailing, it won't let me, I would imagine you can't unless you're comps are high enough to offset the second room costs.  This is standard land casino practice, only the gambler is given one room so I'd be very surprised if anyone else can besides high rollers who elect to allocate their comps for a second room.

For me, it let's me book multiple sailings on the same offer, however.

Yes, it usually gives me several different choices at checkout. Sometimes the difference between offers, for the same booking, can be three times the lowest amount. Like, "Do you want this balcony cabin for $280 and you have to pay it all now , $600 with a $100 deposit and free Wi-Fi, or $900 with a $50 deposit, drinks on us, and $200 onboard credit?" LOL!

The cheap promo rates will jump substantially in price once you add port fees and mandatory prepaid tips.

Yes I see that, but the rate itself increased plus the port fees and taxes. Maybe it was a typo.

No I wasn't trying to book more than one. It changed the rate when I clicked on Review Trip Details. Probably sold out or was a typo. It's gone now.
