Day 2

The menus are all digital but I need my phone for pictures so I always ask for a paper menu.  I find it to be easier for my dinning experience.

Did you have any problems getting one?  When they first started up, you would get some push back from the staff for requesting one.

I ask as soon as I sit down and they have always been very accommodating no push back.  I say may I have a paper menu please because it’s easier for me and never had an issue.

how was embarkation ? smooth? packing over 100 masks.

It was very smooth and very easy.  Once you flow through inside you get in line again and they move fast.  Once you get to the table, one person checks your vaccine documents and then passes you off to another person to fully check you in and then off to the ship you go.  The staff is more than happy to provide you a mask when you ask them.  They gave me a box of masks.

Day 1

Pig & Anchor … lunch time it was self serve, dinner time they serve you.  I wonder why they switch it around since the food is about the same:

We found the food to be much better for dinner, plus they have a few upcharge items that looked amazing as well.  Service was quick and not having to stand in line is always a plus.

Day 1

it was an exciting day.  Walked all over the ship and explored each of the neighborhood as much as possible.  It is a beautiful ship and well decorated.  Grand Central is nicely laid out and easy to navigate.  I like how most of the main / specialty restaurants are located in the same area vs Oasis class ships on Royal where it’s more scattered through out.  The food was amazing, but it was difficult to find a little something sweet to munch on after dinner time unless you pay for the desserts at Java.

I did witness someone who thought the candy at Cherry on Top was $3.95 a pound (it’s $3.95 per 1/4 lb) and was shocked at the $16.xx price tag for the bag of candy they purchased.

We were too full and too tired for the Rock Show at the main theater.  Nassau tomorrow instead of Grand Turk.

Hmm interesting on the desserts. It may motive me save a slice of cake or two from the lunch buffet and take it back to the room! I love a good dessert as a late night snack.

Day 2 Nassau

Today’s agenda touring on our own.  We were advised by the CD Marcus that crime is on the rise and to not stray away from the tourist area early morning to late night and to have a picture of the ID and vaccination card ready.  We travels through the tourist traps and making our way to Junkanoo Beach.  PSA the straw market is partially open now lol.

Day 2 Nassau

Detour alert… the new Magaritaville Resort opened so we stopped in for a looky look.  Be prepared to show ID and vaccine card for entry.  Beautiful resort but mostly empty.  The water park looks fun and relaxing.

Day 2

The walking tour continues on to the run distillery.  John Watling’s Distillery for a frozen treat.  I have to say that the pina colada is amazing here and the rum flows freely into your cup.  We caught it at the right moment with no one else in the bar area.
