Speciality Restaurant Special Menu at $120/person?

On another posting I questioned the price of $120/person for a meal on any RCI/Celebrity ship even during a Xmas/New Years cruise.

I asked what would be on that menu to cost so much from the normal $50 to $60.

Does anyone have an example of a $120 menu?

We have been to the Captain's Table and it didn't cost that much.

TIA

STAY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Every restaurant I know costs more on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Fully understand that. I even mentioned that in my posting.

MY posting was that I was looking for a copy of a menu from RCI.

The menu doesn't really change.  As mentioned they throw in some cheap champagne, a lobster tail that you get for free in the MDR on formal night and maybe a special dessert.  It's not about providing a spectacular special meal its about grabbing cash because they can.

It is nothing but a big cash grab for a holiday cruise. Just like the inflated prices during the holiday season for the cruise itself. Think of it as a supply and demand process in action. More people will be looking for a special dinner on a holiday. There are more people on a holiday sailing. The number of available tables in a specialty restaurant is constant. The price will rise in a dynamic pricing model. There is little to no incentive to provide additional value for the increased price. Be happy for anything extra they might provide. How ever minimal it is.
