Anyone on Serenade OTS?

We are on the January 15 sailing and just curious about how things are on the ship now.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

My friend and her family are currently onboard.  We have texted back and forth a few times and she says they are having a great time.  Weather hasn't been perfect, high seas, lots of rocking, they missed Costa Maya due to weather and being unable to dock.  Other than that no issues.  She hasn't said anything about covid cases or entertainment being cancelled.  They disembark tomorrow I think.

Not only did they miss Costa Maya but they are already in Port of Tampa. People are not happy as gambling and shops are now closed.  This evening is the time you do your last minute shopping or gambling.  They are now stuck there till tomorrow morning when they can disembark.

Hi:  We got onboard on the 18th of December and did a B2B2B we will be disembarking on Saturday, 8 January.  Weather was a bit of a problem and yes we did miss Costa Maya on the 24 December part of the Cruise and possible dangerous fog on the last day of that cruise caused us to scoot back to Tampa early so we would not be stuck outside of the Port and not able to dock.  The Casino and shops were indeed closed which was not great and they really did not make that clear to passengers who are new to cruising BUT and I mean BUT the whole cruise has been great.  The entire crew is doing their best to be friendly and helpful and to make the return to cruising a great experience.  You have to wear masks when indoors unless you are eating and drinking (solve that by always keeping a drink in your hand) you do not have to wear masks out on the open decks.  The RCCL has tried very  hard to maintain social distancing and the crew is CONSTANTLY sanitizing everything.....The food has been terrific.  All I can say is "if the ships are going, so am I".  So you have to wear a mask when indoors at least you are on a cruise.  Eat, Drink and be Merry and go Cruising.
