Elite 10% excursion discount

I tried to book shore excursions on the Princess website but the 10% discount was not applied for my elite status. Does anyone know how the discount works?

My understanding is we will receive the 10% discount in the form of an onboard credit.

Yes, it is applied to your stateroom account once on board.  Had excursions booked on Enchanted Princess 10 and 20 Dec and the 10% discount was listed on our stateroom account

One question on this if i don't mind -  if there is one elite guest and one platinum guest in the cabin is the 10% discount applied to both persons on tour if they are on the same cabin or is it only to the elite guest only?

I just checked our room statement for a cruise we just completed.  We are both Elite and our grandson is Platinum.  Prior to the cruise we had help from Princess to book 2 excursions for DH and GS using DH's OBC.  Princess then booked the excursion for me using my OBC and some of  DH's OBC.  When these posted to our stateroom account, the two excursions for DH and GS both had the 10% discount.  I also received the 10% discount.  Don't know if using my DH OBCs to pay for GS excursion is why he also received the 10% discount.
