Just off NYE Sunshine Cruise

Just returned from NYE sunshine cruise and had a wonderful time.

 

The ship had more crew members than passengers.  1000 passengers to 1500 crew members.

 

The service was great in all the specialty restaurants as we did not go to the MDR at all. The food was very good in all of them, especially JiJi's and Bonsai Sushi.

 

We went to a few of the comedy shows but none of the productions shows since we have seen most of them before.

 

We spent a lot of time in the casino (didn't win ☹️) but had fun and met a lot of nice people. One of the nicest gals I met hit a jackpot for $12,500 on some Piggy machine.  There was also another $15K winner on another machine but not sure which one. 

 

As far as protocols, the crew members tried their best to enforce but you will always have people that will do what they want anyway.  What I don't understand is if you agree to go on a cruise and you know the rules before; if you have no intention of abiding by them, why would you go?  People are so entitled.

 

This was our first time on the Sunshine and the ship is really beautiful.  The serenity area is the best, although the pool water was too cold! 

 

My husband and I felt completely comfortable and safe and are looking forward to our next trip.

The same reason people agree to follow all traffic laws when they get their drivers licenses but break the law several times nearly everytime they drive. People generally follow/like rules that they agree with only. Not saying it's right, just the way it is. Thanks for the trip report.
