Colonia Del Sacramento Uruguay

I have to pick excursions for our South American Regent cruise. Are any of you familiar with Colonia Del Sacramento, the oldest city in Uruguay.

When we are in Montevideo, we have the choice to go to this UNESCO listed city.

What do you think?

While I have not been on a cruise excursion to Colonia, I have visited this town about 25 years ago. I took the Buquebus from Buenos Aires to Colonia. I walked around this lovely heritage town for a few hours and then returned back to Buenos Aires. I don’t think there is a lot there, but what is there is very lovely. At least it was 25 years ago. I’m sure your cruise excursion will be able to find many more things of interest than I did on my own.
