Are there lockers at Ft. Lauderdale airport?

Carnival air/sea has screwed us royally by not having us fly out of Ft Lauderdale until almost 6:00 pm. Does anyone know if there are lockers available to rent? Or have they been taken out for security reasons?

I don't believe you'll find lockers at ANY U.S. airport due to security concerns. I'm not certain with Ft. Lauderdale, but several others I've flown through do not have them.

I believe fdwt is right -- no more lockers at airports.

 

If you are staying in a hotel in Ft Lauderdale prior to the cruise, you can explain the situation and ask them if you can drop off your luggage after the cruise for a few hours. We did that in Tampa one year. I tipped them well.

I read an article in Time magazine 'way back about there not being any lockers in airports, cruise terminals, bus or train stations. 9/11 changed a lot of things.:o

I was at FLL airport in Jan of this year and although there are no lockers, there is a "Business" area in the main concourse where you can store your baggage. You need a picture ID and it costs 5.00 per bag. I think they have some sort of screening process set up for the stored bags.
