An invitation regarding the next leg of our journey.... we've no questions so will be interested to see/hear what others have. Our shore excursion tomorrow. Day 13 Norway Narvik, still in the arctic circle 🥶 Good morning and thanks for following! Endurance medals for you all. We're still berthing. Am at breakfast. Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 17, 2022 Author #364 Share Posted February 17, 2022 Our excursion to Sweden by train was cancelled as we were waiting on board ship to disembark. Snow blocking the road to Sweden.... it's one way by tour bus and the other by train. We can join another excursion if we wish. The original announcement and the Captain's initial announcement were not heard where we were assembled.... broadcast outside in the corridor. Hotel Manager Jan arrived quickly to explain what had occurred. We'll walk into town. Do some research first. Deflated but not defeated. I'll attempt a 'live from' video later.

Ground is only slightly slippery in places. There are many, many statues. This one of a half naked sailor is by the port.

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 17, 2022 Author #374 Share Posted February 17, 2022 There was a meeting tonight for all those on B2B. Led by Hotel General Manager Jan and Guest Services Director Diego. Here are my notes. Hope they make sense : 88 B2B Good news.... all to stay on BUT asking us to isolate. 4 days.... Southampton day 1. 18th Feb LFT 22nd stay in cabin for PCR 3 sea days in cabin Tested daily Azores Feb 26th tested then ashore. Fully reimbursed if decide to cancel Questions : Why? "Clean slate" reply. Eliminate chance of trace of covid 19 to show itself. Compensation? VERY angry response from some. Unable to share how many positive cases amongst guests and crew Query regarding if 4 days isolation can start before Southampton It was suggested that 4 days isolation could start after Kristiansund IF we have to isolate for 4 days. paulatsea Posted February 17, 2022 #375 Share Posted February 17, 2022 Good choice to stay - seems OTT 4 days though - Did any cancel ? We did 2 days isolation in the cabin on P&O once - thought I might have Noro but turned out it was food poisoning-but to be sure I was told to stay in but my wife didn’t have to which was strange - anyway I felt better after 1/2 day and we had a balcony and nice food and drinks delivered - wife stayed in with me. They were sea days anyway and it was a long enough cruise to not spoil it all. we loved the Azores. thanks for pics.
