Costa Maya port - best spot to relax with shade at a pool

We may opt to just hang out at the port in Costa Maya on our Oasis cruise in March.  We may check out shops - and definitely bars and a restaurant.  But what we'd mainly like to do is relax by a pool or lagoon area - preferably where there's some shade.   I've seen some maps of this port online, but some seem out of date - and I couldn't find info on pools and if they are free.  For those that have been there - what do you recommend?

Thanks!

Pool at port is free but don't think there's much shade until later in afternoon .

In Mahaual along the malecon, Nacional Beach Club and Jaime's have pools.  Believe both are reserved for paying guests/AIs.  No shade at Jamie's.  There used to be a beach club at the northern end of the malecon that had a pool.  Not sure if anyone has taken it over.  But  it was out in the open s well.  Couple of the hotels off the beach have pools but again reserved for guests.
