truffles2 Posted February 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2006 I read this morning that T&C have a new 40 million $ terminal and that HAL, Carnival, Princess, Crystal, Silversea, Radisson & Oceania will begin stopping there on Feb. 25. I wish RCI could/would include that as a stop on some of their ships....something "new" would definitely be welcomed--maybe in place of Nassau........ Cape Cruiser 2007 Posted February 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2006 great idea- hope RC bigwigs read this page!
cruzobsessed Posted February 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2006 do you think it's a matter of time or is this a port that royal carib will not include? everyone i know who's been there says it is awesome. what a shame.
GigglewolfOfTheSeas Posted February 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2006 I believe the Carnival SIGNIFICANTLY subsidized the building/upgrading of the port facilities there, so it may be that RCI is not permitted to stop there...at least for a while. That might explain why RCCL hasn't started visits there. ;)

Lynnees Posted February 23, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2006 I just wish RCL would do new destinations anywhere else. Like the south Pacific or the Orient or Australia. The constant same in the Caribbean has gotten too boring.
Libracruzer Posted February 23, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2006 Although I prefer RCI - I sail on various lines. One cruise line just can't have it all. However, all cruises are great.
cb at sea Posted February 24, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I don't go for the ports-- I go for the shipboard experience. IMHO, when you've seen one island, you've seen 'em all. I guess I feel that way because I'm not a big shopper--at least for souvenir-type items. I'd rather be sipping a drink by the pool, than wandering through a jungle or or lugging tax-free liquor back to the ship! It's the closest thing to Vegas (and more personal) that I've found! Love cruising!
