REDSTRIPETYPE Posted March 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2022 We overnight in Bora Bora on April 4 and 5. Windstar is putting on Beach BBQ supper which I presume would be on the evening of the first night. We have booked H20 snorkel excursion for the morning of day 2 and were looking at a resort day pass for day one. Came across a 4 year old Trip Advisor review that stated that Windstar uses a private Motu for the BBQ and the ship let people go there to enjoy the beach during the day. They brought sandwiches from room service and made rum punch in the room. Has anyone overnighted at Bora Bora recently who could comment on this? 6rugrats Posted March 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2022 I’m not sure what you are asking. Food is provided by Windstar for the beach barbecue.
REDSTRIPETYPE Posted March 5, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted March 5, 2022 Asking if it is on a private beach separate from where the ship docks and if guests can go there during the day.
Nearpost345 Posted March 5, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2022 as I recall they run zodiacs or tenders every twenty minutes backwards and forwards between the motu and ship.
Lapcheong Posted March 15, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Just on a cruise February 23rd. They allow you to visit the small and pretty motu from 10am-2.30pm via zodiacs. No food or drinks available on motu. We were then ferried back by catamaran starting at 4.45pm for the evening bbq and terrific show.
