You might also want to consider other options--

1)  Just fly from SFO to LAX or LGB...round trip airfare is pretty cheap...and you only spend an hour plus airport time, Uber or BART to and from SFO, Uber from LAX to Long Beach and back.  Easy, quick...and you can leave your car safely at home with no cost for gas or wear and tear on your car.  You also won't risk a surprise meeting with the CHP on your way or having an accident.

 

2)  If you really have some reason to want to drive it (want to make stops on the way...or fear of flying), do two separate one-way car rentals, SF to Long Beach...and back.  You won't need 14+ days of parking, you won't put any miles on your own car or have to leave it exposed in a lot somewhere.

 

3)  Fly one-way, car rental the other...
