Just off Celebrity Edge 7 night Mini Review

Just off the fabulous Celebrity Edge yesterday. It was our first time in a suite we were in a sky suite on deck 10. I won’t be able to write all the wonderful about our expertise here. It was as close to a perfect 10 as I think you’d ever get!

The ship- beautiful! Lots of intimate spaces for quiet moments. Lots of spaces for meeting and mingling with new friends both indoors and out. The design is breathtaking in many areas.

Our suite- 10210. Well laid out, spacious, tons of storage! Loved the double sink in the bathroom and enough room for 2 people to get ready. Large balcony. Or Retreat Host Natalia, was a Gem! Professional, engaging, cheerful, thoughtful and unobtrusive!! She left us many beautiful surprises. Our room stand Danila kept our room immaculate and well stocked.

The entertainment- varied, lots of options for all different tastes. Well done.

The Retreat - pool area beautiful, spaces to lounge in sun and shade plentiful. Relaxing. Could use some soft background music. (Personal taste) snacks and bar service on point.

                    - lounge beautiful space. Lovely snacks and ordinary drinks spot, nice outdoor spot with a television as well.

Luminae- we only did breakfast and lunch here and not every day, we found it quite loud acoustically and not what we really wanted for a dinner atmosphere. The service was great.  Some did say if you went after 8 o’clock it was quieter they were quite disappointed that we didn’t go there for dinner. We had planned on going the last night but honestly we’re just not hungry enough.

Tuscan - food was good, service excellent.
Normandie - we really liked. food and service top notch.

Blu- we went twice. Was dining perfection both times!! Service here was next level.

Eden- not just a meal a true Experience. I’d say if you’re a foodie this is a must do!!! We loved this.

We also had a fabulous lunch here one day.

Fine Cut- won 🥇 best meal of our trip. It was fabulous and as good as and high end steak house in Biston our NYC. And the service was better!

The Martini Bar was great as always, wish it was still ice topped.

We had great service at the Eden bar outside as well as indoors, The service by the pool was also very good.

Cabana rental- we enjoyed a relaxing pampered day here.

Casino was fun

I’d like to see some more mid range shopping options, even on tables on a sea day.

They were out of some things. Everywhere is affected by supply chain issues. They did their best to find substitutes.

The staff/crew are so pleasant and truly seen happy in their work. They want you to have a great day.

Can’t wait to go again!!

Hi - thanks for this excellent (and encouraging) review. We sail in less than 3 weeks (hooray) and will be in a Sky Suite in that same area on Edge.

Good to know about the noise level in Luminae. There are so many other dining offerings that we probably won't be there much for dinner either. I look forward to the opportunity to dine in Blu (space available, of course).

Did you find the Magic Carpet an obstruction to your view in the Cabana? If we rent one, I want to be able to see the ocean without a big orange distraction.

Thanks and welcome  home.

Hi,  can you tell me how they handled the need for a covid test one day before flights back to the U.S. ?  The web site says there will be an independent company doing tests for $99 a person at the port but I wondered about lines.  Did you do that or is the internet good enough that you can do a monitored self test?  Thank you.  Glad you loved the ship and food.  Makes me look forward to the experience.

I definitely agree about better mid-range shopping.  On the older ships you could always find something to buy.  They have one shop selling perfume, needed toiletries, some clothes but limited for those who want to browse and maybe buy something.

I do not miss the crowded table sales but did enjoy getting to make some purchases.

We do not stop in the expensive stores anymore even to look(last time we went in my husband was willing to buy me an expensive John Hardy bracelet from a very attractive friendly salesperson with a good story). At this time I hardly wear what I have in good jewelry and know he was going to overpay.

It was a very nice gesture, hubby.

We will be on the Edge this Sunday and cannot wait to enjoy her again.

Hi

Myself and 2 friends sail on the Edge 6th May in a Sky Suite. Are we able to eat in Blu? I thought this was reserved exclusively for Aqua Class customers?

Thank you,

Denise

If you are in a Suite, then you can ask if they have space available.

I'm doing Edge for 1st time on the 20th in a SS. I cannot wait. I've previously only done suites on Equinox so I was hesitant but I've heard great things!

Going on the 20th as well!

You shouldn't need a Covid test to get back to the US.  That is only if you are flying into the US.  Unless you are departing the ship in a non US port, you won't need one.

I’m sorry we didn’t have to travel internationally home we just traveled back to Massachusetts so we didn’t need a post cruise covet desk. Those honor ship going back to the UK and Canada we’re having them done in the port upon disembarkation and they didn’t have to pay for them.I’m sorry we didn’t have to travel internationally home we just traveled back to Massachusetts so we didn’t need a post cruise covet desk. We were able to dine in Blu any nights that we chose,  we did speak to the Maitre’d prior. And he did let us know that any night we wanted to go we were welcome. They were only 1000 on our sailing out of a potential almost 3000 so there was plenty of room.

Interesting that you only had breakfast in Luminae, maybe because we eat later we had most of our meals there , agree in Fine cut went there a couple of times , we has penthouse so specialty we’re free. I disagree with martini bar definitely prefer it without the ice , I thought there bartenders were top notch, glad they will make it round again on Beyond.

But we would be traveling back to the US from a non US port, the cruise ends in Barcelona.
